The incident led to the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
