'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Families of Unaccounted For Young People Await News After Alpine Blaze
The relatives of teens missing after a tragic fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's alpine town are facing an agonising wait for answers and appealing for information about their loved ones online.
The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed video show the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.
Emergency services have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the fatalities of the disaster, which killed numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. Authorities stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with work ongoing to locate the other six.
In the meantime, loved ones have been posting on online platforms to plead for information about their friends who were in attendance that fateful night.
Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For
The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are still unconfirmed, according to an public plea from his parent.

"It feels like a terrible dream, an ordeal. Either I find my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in intensive care. It's terrible," she told the paper.
She explained that some of his peers had been located with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "It's indescribable; they experienced a terrifying ordeal."
The Italy's government has indicated that six of its young people have not been located.
One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage sportsman, who hailed from Italy but now residing in Dubai.
The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "young athlete who embodied passion and true sportsmanship."
His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An representative has indicated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.
Additional Missing Individuals
Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and ended up at the bar.
"A close friend informed me they escaped after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
One of his educators said, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to media.
Her brother has posted an appeal online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
Officials from her other nation say they are closely watching the developments.
