The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
