Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are confirmed to return for the latest Hunger Games instalment, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Reports indicate that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.
An Important Return to Panem
The actors are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. Speculation suggests their appearance will take the form of a brief glimpse ahead, as the original saga concluded with their characters married and with children.
This marks the sixth film in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise.
Delving Into the Prequel
Sunrise on the Reaping is based upon a newly published work by series creator Suzanne Collins. It serves as the second film set before the original story after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed most of the previous films in the series.
