A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without joy".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order placed a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

In the wake of the killings, public individuals offered different responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making controversial claims that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an aide ought to have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
