Defiant Nancy insists he is not worried about dismissal but Celtic fans unleash fury after derby defeat.
Wilfried Nancy declared he was not afraid of losing his job, claiming, “I believe we are really close to things turning around,” even after edging perilously close to the exit with a convincing defeat by Rangers.
Another Meltdown Results in Derby Defeat
The home side were in front the visitors at the break but a second-half capitulation let Rangers to move level on points with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions. Nancy, who was hired from the MLS, has now been in charge for six setbacks in eight fixtures.
“There is unity at the club,” said Nancy.
Pressed on whether he was concerned, Nancy replied: “I don’t think about it. I concentrate on finding ways to get the team to improve on details.

Celtic’s support voiced their fury – towards the dugout and directors – by gathering at full time. The hierarchy are reportedly likely to bring back the former boss, who steered the club during a interim spell last year, if Nancy departs.

“We produced plenty of positives that we did, once more. But now it’s about consistency. My message would change if I didn't believe it. That’s why I am convinced we’re going to be able to fix this.”
Opposition Reaction Response
The victorious boss was cautious about a championship push even after what appeared to be a landmark win. “We take it game by game, then we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The belief in the team is excellent.”
