Barça Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
